Wave has experience working with supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems. SCADA is a term used to describe a system of hardware and software that works together to control industrial processes, whether locally or across a variety of locations, which also monitors, gathers and processes real-time data. The system also enables a direct interface with devices, such as sensors, pumps and motors. A SCADA system can be simple or complex, and is used across a range of industries such as transport, water, energy and manufacturing. Wave has developed its expertise in integrating apps into SCADA systems through our work with South East Water, the largest water authority in Victoria.
Modern SCADA systems incorporate web-based applications and SQL databases to improve efficiency, security and reliability. It also enables easier integration with an organisations existing applications such as their enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
