The aim of the Vodafone App Aid program is to match some of the best development agencies in the country with local Australian charities to help them to achieve the charity’s vision using mobile technology. We’re partnering with Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and have been flat out working with them on an amazing concept which will hopefully have a huge impact on children’s health.
But we will need your help to make it Pozible.
We’ll be crowdfunding the project on Pozible http://pozible.com to raise the additional funds needed to finish development and launch the app. Vodafone Foundation have provided the seed funding to kick things off, and will match whatever is pledged on Pozible dollar for dollar (up to $10,000).
Plus, if Wave Digital and the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute end up with the highest number of backers at the end of the crowd funding, the project will receive an extra $10,000 from Vodafone Foundation as the winner of App Aid 2013.
We’ve made some great progress on the App concept this week – initial designs have been completed, and some functionality has been introduced into the prototype.
We’ll keep you all updated over the next fortnight.
Get those chequebooks ready. Who are we kidding, no one uses chequebooks – but you know what we mean…….
