University of Melbourne Responsive Web App
Most projects begin with a design phase – one of our designers will discuss branding, customers, user roles, and Graphical User Interface (GUI) with the project team. Typically, this is done on an old fashioned whiteboard, and we go through screen-by-screen representation of the application that’s being developed. We then translate these to wireframes, get client signoff, then proceed to mockups. We’re honest in our mockups – what can be done in a Photoshop doesn’t always marry 100% to what’s possible in a native app – so our breadth of knowledge in mobile allows us to set client expectations appropriately from day one.
Wave Digital was approached to develop a responsive web application for the Dental Department of Melbourne Uni.
The Dental School had been conducting assessments of their students using paper-based methods. Results would then have to be manually entered into a system. They were keen to find a better solution.
The client initially approach Wave Digital to develop a native iPad app. After analysing their requirements, our recommendation was to build a responsive website optimised for iPad, saving the client time and money.
